The Department of Law organized a national workshop on December 6, 2023, titled “The Role of Local and International Law in Decreasing Family Violence,” managed by Ms. Kochar Muhammed. The workshop featured presentations by Dr. Saadi Hassan discussing “Legal Penalties between the Regional Domestic Violence Act and Other Laws,” Lieutenant Mr. Burhan Ahmad presenting on the “Impact of Directorates of Violence against Women in the Kurdistan Region,” and Dr. Bafraw Rauf exploring “The Role of International Law in Combating Violence Against Women and Demonstrating Their Abilities.”
