UoH and HWPL Held an International Workshop

On the 16th of December 2020, college of Humanities from University of Halabja (UoH) in cooperation with Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) held an international workshop virtually under the title, “The 2nd Campaign of Halabja Youth for Peace and Coexistence” in which four religious leaders (a Muslim and a Kakai) in Halabja, KRG and (a Christian and a Buddhist) in South Korea and a number of students From English Department at UoH and South Korea Universities participated.
At the beginning, Dr. Nariman Abdullah, dean of College of Humanities, gave a speech in which he clarified the importance of the cooperation and managing joint works between UoH and HWPL . Besides, Dr. Abdullah highlighted that Kurds are peacekeeping people and have a long history to prove that. Then, he clarified the results and concepts of such international activities especially in scientific and academic centers and society in general.
After that, the students who are representatives of the four mentioned religions discussed numerous points which are common misconceptions among people regarding the religions.
Then, the leaders of the four religions discussed peace and coexistence topic among various religions and answered the questions of common misconceptions about the religions.
Moreover, the students raised questions on peace and coexistence and answered by the leaders of the four different religions.
It is worth to mention that Dr. Rasool Hassan Rasool, head of department Principles of Religion, was participated as representative of Islam and offered a presentation on peace and co-existence.
