An international workshop held on Speed of Trust at UoH

University of Halabja, College of Law and Administration, Department International Trade in collaboration with Global Leadership International Organization, a non-profit organization providing leadership training in emerging and developing countries, held a joint international workshop on 8th of February ,2022 on various topics related to business and trade.
The workshop was on Speed of Trust and consists of 4 parts the participant speakers were as following: The first speaker, Dr. Mattew Mecahel Val Oshel presented a presentation on the 4 Cores of Credibility. integrity, intent, capabilities and results.
The second speaker, Mr. Andrew David Wilkinson presented a seminar on Talk Straight. The third speaker, Mr. John Boyle presented a presentation on Deliver Results. The fourth speaker, Ms. Mzhda Abbas Hidayat presented a seminar on Smart Trust. The speakers discussed the steps of building trust which is through discussion, action and behavior, also to build a trust the person needs to express good will, talk straight and behave in good manner and manifest it in its behavior, in return trust will be built. They said having the 4 cores of honesty, integrity, the capabilities for carrying out the works and achieving a good result at the end is very essential for earning trust, otherwise if the person’s speech will not be shown in its action and behavior, this will result in mistrust, however; performance and behavior will decide not speech.
In another part of the workshop, they additionally highlighted the essential roles of talking plainly and simply, being honest and straightforward with your speech and avoid obscurity and false information, that will do more to earn the trust of your peers and followers, because hiding information and doing fraud will lead to misbelieve and distrust. They further added that correcting the mistakes and apologizing, admitting what you have done was wrong are key factors in building trust, if not, refuse to confess and apologize will lead to mistrust. They said” avoiding backbiting about others when they are not present, certainly it will earn you or your company trust.” The workshop ended with a Q&A session between the attendees and the speakers.
Later, Prof. Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, UoH president, met with participant speakers of the workshop, and express her gratitude towards their visit and offering presentations at UoH, she hoped that they collaborate more on scientific and academic activities in the future. Dr. Mahabad awarded the UoH logo to them.
