A delegation comprising students, employees, and lecturers from the University of Halabja (UoH) paid a visit to the University of Kurdistan/Sanandaj in the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in an international sports championship between the two universities. The UoH delegation were warmly welcomed by Professor Dr. Hamid Qadirzadeh, Rector of University of Kurdistan, along with members of the council, lecturers, and students. It was noted that the scientific and academic level of both universities had consistently developed, allowing for a significant number of UoH students to engage in international sports joint-activities. After that, Dr. Ako Ibrahim Faqe Mahmood, representing UoH, expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Kurdistan University on behalf of Professor Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, president of UoH, council members, lecturers, employees, and students. The sports activities commenced thereafter, with students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences of UoH participating in events such as Futsal (boys), Volleyball (boys and lecturers), and Table Tennis (lecturers), achieving great successes.
