University of Halabja and University of Kurdistan Renew Academic Collaboration

The University of Halabja (UoH) and the University of Kurdistan (UOK) reaffirmed their commitment to academic partnership by renewing their memorandum of understanding on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.

A delegation from the University of Halabja, led by Dr. Ako Ibrahim Faqe Mahmood, Dean of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, along with accompanying staff, visited the UoK president, Prof. Hamed Ghaderzadeh to discuss ongoing collaboration. They received a warm welcome from the UOK president, director of international relations, and vice president for scientific affairs.

During the meeting, both parties expressed gratitude for the successful academic partnership in previous years and expressed interest in further practical collaboration moving forward. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, outlining joint activities such as workshops, conferences, and symposiums.

A significant focus of the renewed partnership will be on joint research and publication in high-profile international journals, benefiting the development of both institutions, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the academic profile of the University of Halabja.

To mark the occasion and express appreciation, both sides exchanged tokens of gratitude. The meeting took place on the final day of an international sports tournament hosted by the University of Kurdistan, which spanned five consecutive days.
