During a special event held on the 7th of Nov, 2022 at the Central Library Hall where several important figures were present from political and administrative authorities to university staff, employees and students, University of Halabja launched a new book on its activities undertaken during the past few years.
The book launch was opened by a speech by the university president Prof. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah in which she welcomed the guests and paid tribute to the activities done by the university as well as appreciating all the relevant parties assisting the university in doing so.
Later, Mr. Bawar Faraj, lecturer from Department of Computer Science, gave a short presentation briefly shedding some light on major points of progress that that has been made during the last 3 years from September 2019 to September 2022.
The book which is entitled “A Portfolio of UoH Activities: 2019 – 2022” is prepared by group of university academic and administrative staff picked from different departments and directorates of the university with each one being responsible for a different aspect of the book.
It consists of 200 pages and the content is organized into different areas and sections such as academic staff, students, programs of study, university ranking, electronic services, international relations and agreements, projects on university and international level, different types of other activities and plenty more. The majority of the sections inside the book can be scanned and found online using a QR code scanner with a mobile device.
The book launch was part of 2 other events held on the same day the first being the opening of a new lab for the engineering department following by the opening of a new dormitory for boys.
