UoH in cooperation with SPARK organization offered peace through moderation training course for the lecturers of University of Halabja under the supervision of UoH president.
The UoH President Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abduallah , vice-president for Student Affairs Dr.Ranjdar Aziz, deans of colleges of Humanities and Basic Education and a number of lecturers participated in an online training course of peace through moderation. At the beginning, Dr. Mahabad showed her appreciation towards the Spark organization and the participants of the course.
Later, she pointed out to the importance of spreading peace and moderation in the world and particularly in Kurdistan and the region. Besides, she explained the radicalism especially among youths and she also found the training courses necessary to be held in Academic institutions.
Then, Mr. Rahel Qaradaghi, head of Spark Organization, gave a speech in which he showed his gratitude towards the organizers of the training course and UoH participants in the course. In addition, he highlighted the importance of this course and the other activities of Spark Organization in Kurdistan and stated, “Halabja Governorate is one of the places that Spark organization implements its activities in and he wished good luck and success for the course participants ”.
Later, the training started and a seminar was offered by the International trainer Mr. Peter Knoop. It was worth to mention that the training lasted for three days and 35 lecturers from the colleges of Basic Education and Humanities participated in.
At the end, the participants were awarded Certificates of Participation by the Netherlands Foreign State and Spark Organization.
