The UoH in cooperation with the UoS will hold an international scientific conference entitled, “ The Remaining Effects of Chemical Weapons on the Environment of the Area” on the 28th-29th of August 2019.
The aim of the conference is to:
1- Recognize Halabja Chemical Attack as an act of genocide internationally
2- Familiarize students with the remaining effects of the Chemical Weapons on Humans, animals, trees and environments

3- Enrich the process of conducting research papers on such a tragic subject to improve and reconstruct Halabja city
