Directorate of Health and Safety of UoH presented a seminar on first aid which was presented to the first year students of Computer Science on Tuesday January 17th 2023 at the seminar hall of Computer Department.
The seminar was presented by the First Aid trainer Mr. Aram Khasraw in which he explained how to help people in the time of injury or emergency cases or when they are fainted until the emergency team will arrive.
In the seminar the participant students practically conducted the first aid process and also Mr. Aram explained the first aid methods and some easy ways to assist the person in need of the first aid.
First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person with either a minor or serious illness or injury with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening or to promote recovery.
The Ceremony of 40 Research Papers Project and Awarding the Best Year Researcher was Conducted at the UoH in which Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, the UoH president, the vice-presidents for Scientific Affairs and Financial Affairs, the deans, the department heads and a number of lecturers and students attended. The ceremony began with standing silently for a moment for the souls of Kurdistan martyrs. After that, Mr. Bawar Muhammad Faraj, head of International Ranking Office, discussed the details and results of the 40-research papers project. He added that 25 different research papers have been published in different fields through the International Ranking Office. In the ceremony, 90 researchers were awarded whom actively participated in the project . Among them Mr. Rabar Hama Ameen, the Engineering Department lecturer, was awarded as the best year researcher at the UoH. In another part of the ceremony was dedicated to thank and honor the Computer Science Department as the first active department, the Kurdish Language as the second one and the Social Sciences department as the third active department in the project.
At the end, the UoH University President and vice-presidents presented honorary awards to the International Rankings Office staff for their active and continuous efforts for promoting the university scientific level.
A UoH lecturer and three students jointly published three Research Papers in an International Journal which indexed in Web of science Clarivate analytical journal which has Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAG). The initiative was in framework of the activities of the first semester of the students for the academic year 2022-2023 at Department of International Trade morning /evening class.
The first research paper entitled, “Digital Consumer Behavior and Ecommerce Tendencies during the New War Crisis”, which was conducted by second – year, morning class student Mr. Balen Salah Mohammed under the supervision of lecturer Mr. Aram Mohammed Amin.

The second research paper was under the title, “How To Evaluate Electronic Accounting Literacy? Case Study: Halabja Technical Institute- Accounting Department/ Second Stage”, which was carried out by third- year student, morning class Ms. Savo Rezhan Abas under the supervision of lecturer Mr. Aram Mohammed Amin.

It is worth mentioning that, these papers were conducted as part of the first semester’s activities of the subject which is taught by Mr. Aram and five research papers were jointly published until now as well as 4 more research papers of the second and third year students are ready to be published or are in the process of publication.
This step will be an important scientific turning point for publishing researches in international journals and involving students in this important scientific process.
On the 12th of January 2023, the University of Halabja (UoH) and Al-Maarif University College signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which includes various fields for the purpose of conducting scientific forum and conference at the national or international level.
Al-Maarif University College in Anbar Governorate was established in 1993 AD, and it is the first private college in Anbar Governorate and the sixth private college in Iraq. More than twenty thousand students have been graduated from it.
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, president of the University of Halabja and the French International Centre for Iraqi Scientists and Inventors and in collaboration with Education and Engineering colleges at The University of Samarra, the University of Halabja held the 10th International Conference and Invention Exhibition in which various activities were conducted. In the workshop, Dr. Khatab Ahmed Mustafa, general director of directorate of directorate of Planning and also representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Azad Tofiq, Halabja governor, Mr. Soran Omar, a member of the Iraqi parliament, a number of directors, writers, intellectuals and eighty inventors around the Kurdistan Region and Iraq attended.
The conference began with stand a moment of silence for the souls of the martyrs with the national anthem of Kurdistan and Iraq. Then, professor Dr. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, the president of the University of Halabja (UoH), gave a speech in which she warmly welcomed all the participants and guests of the conference as she stated, ” Today, the University of Halabja is recording a historic day which is to gather all Iraqi provinces in a scientific activity in Halabja which is known as the city of coexistence.” She further pointed out that conducting such activities is to introduce each nation. So, it is an honor that the country of civilization and blessings has a lot of creativity which leads to making a bright prediction for our future generations.
“Halabja always has been a place for great and different inventions as well as having dozens of leading poets and politicians.” added by the University of Halabja president. “UoH has made every attempt to cross the city’s border and expand and also improve its relations to become a gateway for exchanging scientific works whether in the region or in Iraq or at the international levels.”
Professor Dr. Qasim Najib Marsumi, director of the French International Center for Scientists and Inventors of Iraq gave a speech in which he highly appreciated the president of the university of Halabja and the governor of Halabja for conducting the event of the 10th International Conference and Invention Exhibition
In another part of the event, each inventor discussed his/her invention for a few minutes. After that, the inventors’ exhibition was opened. At the end, certificates were awarded to the inventors and the management committee.
Under the supervision of the head of the department Mr. Ako Mohammed Tofiq, the Department of International Trade of the College of Law and Administration held a symposium at the Central Library Hall at the presidency of the UoH on the 12th of December 2022. During the symposium, the crises in the Kurdistan Region and their management and solutions were discussed in detail by the students of the college of International Business.
It is worth to mention that 14 current crises and obstacles in the Kurdistan Region were discussed as well as presenting proposals and solutions. At the end, the participants shared their views on the symposium topics.
