Department of Principles of Religion, College of Humanities, UoH held a national workshop which consists of three different sessions. on the Importance of women in the Holy Quran on January 21, 2023 at Hall number 14 of College of Humanities.

The key speakers of the workshop were Dr. Ahmed Jamil, Dr.Abdulkarim Fatah Amin and Lecturer Mr.Dyar Jameel.

At the beginning, Dr. Ahmed highlighted the role of Hazrat Maryam (Saint Mary) in Holy Quran and stressed that Maryam is one of the greatest women that has a significant role.

In addition, Dr. Abdulakarim mentioned the mother of Messenger Moses (peace be upon) and said that “she was one of the important women in which she has a great role in bringing up Moses (peace be upon) who overcame Pharaoh and defeated him.

The last seminar was presented by Mr.Dyar in which he shed some light on the role of the in Surah Yusuf in Holy Quran and explained several verses of the Surah in this regard and explained its importance.
