This center which was established with the name “Language Center” in 2017 is one of the UoH centers managed by Dr. Sarkew Salah Abdulkareem. The language center is to promote language learning and proficiency among students, faculty members and administrative staff. In a noteworthy development, the center underwent a name change and is currently known as the Language and Pedagogy center which expands the center’s responsibilities to focus on the study and development of teaching methodologies and instructional practices across various disciplines including language teaching and ensuring effective teaching strategies.

The tasks of the center:

• Offering and conducting a wide range of English language courses which are ten courses until now in collaboration with language centers of KRG universities for MA and PhD degrees students and those applicants who want to get scientific promotion.
• Opening English language courses for the UoH staff.
• Offering four pedagogical courses for MA and PhD degrees holders in order to get scientific promotion.
• Interpreting in seven different events and conferences.
