The UoH in Cooperation with Payame Noor University of Kurdistan Organized an International Symposium

The UoH in cooperation with Payame Noor University of Kurdistan organized an International Symposium entitled “How Environment and Healthy Food can Attract Tourists to Halabja” on the 19th of November 2018.
At first, the lecturer Mr. Ako Ibrahimwarmly welcomed the Payame Noor delegation and the other attendances on behalf of the UoH. Then, Dr. Edris Karim Muhammed, the UoH vice-president for Administrative and Financial Affairs gave a brief speech of welcome in which he pointed out that Soil and Water are the two important topics which are taken into careful consideration globally as holding such a symposium at UoH is a proof that Kurdistan Universities have considerations for the two mentioned subjects. “We highly appreciated all the sides that had collaborated the UoH to hold the symposium,” he added. The symposium included the following seminars:
The first seminar was presented by Dr. Halgurd Omar, lecturer at Technical Institute of Halabja, entitled, “Natural and Unnatural Food and their Effects on Tourists”.
The second seminar was presented by Prof. Dr. Eskander Moradi, an expert in Political Geography and Geopolitics from Payame Noor University of Kurdistan, under the title, “the Role of Environment on Tourism”. The third seminar was offered by Mr. Ako Muhammed, director of Health and Safety Directorate at the UoH, in which he introduced tourist and tourism scientifically. He further identified the tourism sectors in Halabja governorate and the obstacles the sectors face.
