A Delegation from UoH Visit the Indian Consulate General in Erbil

A Delegation from the University of Halabja visited the Consulate General of India in Erbil on Monday, 5th of December, 2022.

The delegation consisted of Prof. Mahabad Kamil Abdullah, the UoH President, Assist. Prof. Sirwan Hamid, Vice-president for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Awara Hussein, Vice-Dean of College of Law and Administration, and Mr. Rasti Ayub Hama Saeed, Representative from the University’s International Academic Relations Office.

They were warmly welcomed by the Mr. Subhash Chandra Kain, the Consul General, Mr. Dharmender Kumar, Head of Chancery, Mr. M.V. Sunder, the Consul, and Mr. Devendra Kumar, the Vice Consul.

During the meeting, several topics were touched upon regarding academic and scientific cooperation between the University of Halabja and Indian universities.

The consul general mentioned that the Consulate will facilitate the cooperation by providing a list of universities that are interested in international cooperation.

Additionally, the consulate will provide a list of books to the University where a special place will be dedicated to store and showcase them to be later called “Indian Corner”.

More importantly, work will be done to assist the University of Halabja Department of Medicine in terms of training for academic staff that could be either implemented in India or dedicated staff will be brought to open courses at UoH.

UoH might also be able to benefit from short term training courses in different fields of study that will run for a week in India and are continuously open throughout the year for application.

UoH is continuously attempting to develop its relations with national and international higher education institutions and other entities for the purpose of scientific and academic advancement.
