As part of its continuous attempts to advance, the University of Halabja opened a new laboratory for the Department of Civil Engineering during an event on the 7th of November, 2022.
During the ceremony in which a number of city officials, university president and vice-presidents, deans, lecturers and students attended, the lab pieces of equipment were shortly introduced by lecturers from the Civil Engineering Department.
The equipment can be used for various types of experiments, material testing, analysis, measurements, and research purposes which certainly help the university move a step forward in its path to advancement and scientific excellence.
A whopping budget of 224 million Iraqi Dinars spent on the equipment was approved by the Ministry of Finance and provided by Ardel Com. Work on the laboratory started on the 12th of December, 2021 and it is ready for students to use and test.
The lab opening ceremony was part of a series of events held on the same day the former being launching a book on the university’s most significant activities whereas the latter being the opening of a new dormitory for boys.
