A number of universities from Kurdistan Region including Halabja, Sulaimani, Garmian and Koya in cooperation with numerous Iranian universities namely Tehran, Kurdistan , Sanandaj and Shahid Beheshti held a two-day international conference entitled, “The 1st Iran-Kurdistan International Conference on Physics” on the 25th of August 2021.
It is worth to mention the conference was supposed to be hosted at university of Kurdistan- Sanandaj/ Iran but due to Covid19 the conference was hosted virtually.
According to the work plan of the project, one of the partner universities of the conference must host and supervise the conference annually.
For this year of the event, 33 research papers has been sent to the scientific committee of the conference from which only 22 papers were accepted: 8 papers has been offered verbally and 23 papers has been shown on posters.
It is worth noting that UoH has participated with researches, evaluation (peer reviewing) process, and joint papers together with the researchers from other universities. Besides, a number of UoH lecturers had great roles as organizers and peer reviewers in the conference.
At the end, participation and approval certificates were received by the participants and researchers of the conference.
