A delegation from UoH consisting of Mr. Arieann Ali Hamid, IInternational Relations director and TIGRIS Project coordinator at UoH and Ms. Sazan Salah Saber, International Relations staff and TIGRIS Project Office member at UoH participated in an event entitled, “the Second TIGRIS Project Symposium” on the 13th of June 2019 which was hosted by the University of Duhok in Duhok.
The first part of the symposium was dedicated to presenting seminars about the Internationalization Strategy of each Kurdish partner University.
For that purpose, Mr. Arieann offered a short presentation about the UoH Internationalization Strategy.
The second part of the symposium was to have an open discussion and a round table meeting regarding reviews of project budget, financial regulations of KRG and adaptation with TIGRIS Project.
The TIGRIS Project has been awarded for EU co-funding within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme “Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education”.
Capacity building projects in the field of higher education support the modernisation, accessibility, and internationalisation of higher education in Partner Countries, in this case Kurdistan.
The TIGRIS Project, which will run for 3 years from 2017 – 2020, is coordinated by the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany.
The project consortium is composed of 4 European partners and 10 Kurdish partners, including the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR), as well as 2 associate partners.
